Yesterday was our 2nd Fun Day. It was a lovely day and we have been overwhelmed with the support we have received from the community. The new bouncy castle complete with slide was a big hit and ensured lots of happy faces. The exotic and therapy animals were a big draw with Sarah even having a cuddle with rats, Tin Tin and Milo.
We were fortunate enough to have Johanne Rankin, who has a wealth of experience in additional needs, help with the Arts & Crafts. She helped the children to decorate and dye eggs for Easter which involved a lot of shaving foam and paint.
We had many Pikachu’s, Rhino’s and Giraffe’s running around in the wild . We were really impressed how at ease the children were at having their faces painted which can be sensory overload for a lot of our kids.
Tasty treats and refreshments were had by all and were donated by Sarah, Kate and Margaret, Anne and Cathy. Anne’s help was hugely appreciated where she dished out the refreshments in the kitchen throughout the event.
We also want to thank and recognise our raffle contributors. There will be a donators page shortly on the website to thank the many kind gifts from local businesses.
Finally we want to thank all of you for coming, your kind donations and making it an awesome day!
We hope to see you soon.
